Kataram Studios was recommended to my husband and I for our May 5th, Gloucester, MA wedding by a very close friend who is also a professional photographer. We were very laid back and relaxed in the wedding planning process, not very knowledgeable about the photography end of things at all, and were looking for someone who could lead us through the process and give us some ideas and advice on what might be best for the flow of the day. We couldn't have been happier with Aram. From the first consultation over the phone that we had with him, we knew his personality, sense of humor, and very polite but open and honest style was perfect for what we were looking for. When we got together with him for coffee for an in-person consultation, we felt as though he could have been a friend we'd had for years. Both my husband and I felt very comfortable with his advice, ideas, and plans for the wedding day, and he managed our fun-loving, crazy, impulsive wedding party and family with no hesitation at all (The groomsmen even listened!). Many of our wedding party members and guests asked if we had known him prior to the wedding, because he fit in so seamlessly. We will highly recommend Kataram Studios to anyone looking for personal, event, or professional portraits in the future, and will also be returning to them ourselves for any life events to come.

Aram and Kat did an outstanding job photographing my wedding in Newport, RI. They were very professional and helped me feel at ease and had everything planned perfectly so that the photo sessions didn’t take away time from the wedding reception. They were also great about capturing candid moments—they even caught several photos of us in front of a rainbow after a quick rainstorm. Once we received our photos, we were so impressed at how quickly they were edited and uploaded and the quality was so impeccable. Kat and Aram were also very easy to work with and made the experience more fun.

Aram and Kat were amazing people to be involved in our wedding day. They know what you need and offer a lot of help in many aspects of the wedding beyond just photography. As a couple who did all the planning, booking etc. they were very helpful in having connections for different vendors and how we could get a fair price on many items. Their professional and calm attitude during the ceremony and after as various challenges came around was stupendous. My family is not great picture takers and he was able to capture great moments and great candid as well as planned out pictures. His photography style is classic and elegant, without too much editing. His pictures look like what happened that day with out over filtering or colorization. I would recommend him over and over and over again.

I cannot praise Kat highly enough! Kat was an invaluable part of my wedding planning experience - she guided me through some of the logistical questions I had about organizing a wedding (we did not hire a event planner, so her insights were quite useful) and was always easy to communicate with before and during the event. On the day of the wedding, Kat and Jolene kept us calm, on track, and meshed very well with the guests - I wish we could have gotten to know them better as people! Most importantly, the photos are stunning and were delivered online and in a USB in a prompt fashion. We did a backyard, DIY wedding with kegs and tacos, but the one thing we did not want to skimp on was the photographers. I'm so glad we got the opportunity to work with such professionals, the positive experience and final photo products were absolutely worth every penny. Thank you Kat, best wishes!
